Nice to meet you

I’m Karrie

A longtime resident of Southern Utah, I used the “feet” of the Rocky Mountains as my inspiration for the “Feet of Iram.” You can catch me on any given day in my office with my hair pulled up in a bun, or in the garden with my fingernails full of dirt.

a bit more about

my story

I am a wife of one, mother of four, two teenagers and two dogs. We live in an idyllic home, where life is lived happily ever after Cinderella-style. Except for the occasional fights, moody teenagers, and all the rest that happens in every normal household.

I spent most of my life wanting to be a writer and not giving myself the time to do it; other things seemed more real and urgent, and writing more of a wish I could not quite bring to solidify in my mind. The thing about nearly dying is that it leaves you free to pursue your dreams. I passed my death date, now I get to bathe in the gravy on top and do what before seemed undoable.

Life is pretty dang good.
